The CityView High Performance Awning & Casement Window features extra-strong aluminium frames for increased strength and performance and to accommodate larger glass panels.
About CityView High Performance Awning & Casement Window
An ideal choice for high wind load areas such as commercial apartments, the Heay Duty Awning window also offers protection against extreme weather conditions and comes with a range of heavy duty mullions.
This high-performance awning window uses the same sash for both awning and casement windows and also features a self-draining transom. It also come with a wide range of stay options and cam locks to suit any application.
Compatible with Darley’s other residential and commercial window and door systems, the CityView heavy duty awning window accepts a glass thickness of 6mm to 30mm.
Designed and engineered for the harsh Australian climatic conditions, the CityView Heavy Duty Awning Window has been tested and accepts Australian Standard AS2047.
WERS Ratings
The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) is accredited by the AFRC – which means that WERS ratings are compliant with the NCC.
Reports are prescribed both the window performance for total window U Value (Uw) and total window Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGCw).
U-value
U-value measures how well a product prevents heat from escaping.
It is a measure of the rate of non-solar heat loss or gain through a material or assembly.
U-value ratings generally fall between 2.0-10.0 W/m2.K for Australian products. The lower the U-value, the greater a window’s resistance to heat and cold flow and the better its insulating value.
Solar Heat Gain Co-efficient (SHGC)
SHGC measures how well a product blocks heat caused by sunlight. SHGC is expressed as a number between 0 and 1. The lower a window’s SHGC, the less solar heat it transmits.
