Fabricator: Trio Designs Pty Ltd
Location: Matraville NSW
Systems Used: CityView Sliding Stacking Patio doorCityView Awning Window 45mm commercial door

This newly constructed residence is located in Matraville in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
A popular choice for professional couples with children, Matraville is only 9km from the CBD and 12km from Kingsford Smith Airport. A north facing property on approximately 380 square meters, this modern and contemporary home spans 2 levels and includes 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Trio Designs, based out of Padstow NSW – were the window and door fabricator for this impressive residential home build. For this project, Trio fabricated and installed CityView sliding stacking patio doors, CityView awning windows and 45mm commercial doors. All of these windows and doors were powder coated in monument black, adding to the homes clean streamlined look and feel.

Trio designs chose this sliding door system because of its variety of configurations, screening options, compliance with extensive testing and ability to fit into any opening. As you can see in the images, the 4-panel sliding door in the living area, extends the living space outdoors into the nicely landscaped yard.

The sliding door in the main bedroom has 3 panels, with a fixed frame window on top of it and steel balustrading to give it the look and feel of an outdoor balcony. The combination of these two systems, allows more natural light into the bedroom and provides a perfect view of the picturesque streets outside. This sliding door system can also significantly reduce outdoor noise, with acoustic testing as high as Rw37.

About The Product

Darley’s CityView range is typically installed in commercial applications such as office buildings and showrooms but is now used more widely in high end residential homes and apartments.
The CityView sliding stacking patio door was installed in three places within the home including the downstairs living area and two upstairs bedrooms

CityView Awning windows were also installed in various parts of the house including the bathroom and main downstairs living area. An ideal choice for the bathroom, the CityView awning window provides ventilation and lowers outdoor noise, with acoustic testing as low as Rw41.

Darley’s 45mm commercial doors were also used in this project, with this system used for the front entrance door and side access door. This door system was chosen because of its self-draining transom, high water ratings including 200 Pa (hinged inward) & 300 Pa (hinged outward) with high wind load capabilities to match.

As with all of Darley’s window and door systems, the CityView range of commercial windows and doors have been tested to and meet Australian Standard AS2047 and AS/NZS ISO 717.1:2004
